Modified Revive Priest

Hello!

A few days ago, Kripparrian, a very popular streamer, talked about his "Revive Priest Deck". Decklist can be found here: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/229353-kripparian-revive-priest. I watched his gameplay footage and decided to try it out myself. I was not disappointed as this is a very fun deck to play. I underestimated Resurrect a lot, when I first saw it. This card is actually quite insane, when you build the deck around this card. The only card I did not have was Dr. Boom, but I added a second Holy Nova instead. I think it can hold its own against the popular aggressive decks.

Furthermore, since I liked this deck so much, I decided to modify it with the unreleased Blackrock cards. This is the list I came up with:

I am not quite sure yet, how this variant would work in an actual match. When I have all the Blackrock cards, I will definitely test this out.

Second Wing of Blackrock Mountain

Hello!

So I finished the wing on normal. It was more difficult than the last wing. I beat Garr with my Grim Patron deck. It was very easy to use Garr's hero power against him.

Against Baron Geddon I used a hunter deck. Had a good mana curve too. So it was quite easy to avoid his hero power.

Against Ragnaros I used a weird mage deck, which is kind of a freeze mage, but not really. I beat him quite easily with this deck.

The First Wing of Blackrock Mountain

So BRM is finally out and I got to do the first wing. The Grim Guzzler was a fun boss. Every turn he uses his hero power to summon a minion from both player's decks. He mostly has big creatures like the Force-Tank MAX. Pretty much the best way to defeat him is to also have many big creatures. I made a Paladin deck with Giants, Alexstrasza, Tirion etc and he will be quite easy to beat. In addition, I also added 2x Aldor Peacekeepers in order to weaken his minions. Equality + AoE is also recommended.

The Second boss, Dark Iron Arena, was very easy to defeat. He has a legendary card deck. So basically a very bad deck. He uses his 1 cost hero power to summon a 1/1 taunt every turn. Very easy boss, not much to add here.

The third boss, Emperor Thaurissan, was quite interesting actually. He has a 2 cost 30 damage hero power. So he can instantly kill you. However, he has a special minion, Moira Bronzebeard on the board. She has 1/3 stats and only attacks minions, when they have taunt. During other times, she will hit face. She is the key minion to this encounter. She has to stay alive, because the boss hero cannot use his hero power as long as she is on the board. The strategy is to keep Moira alive and rush the boss as quickly as you can. I used a more aggresive priest deck with charge minions. That is pretty much it! Enjoy the new awesome legendary card!

Dragon Paladin is a THING!

It has been a while, since I last posted, because I wanted to wait until the release of the adventure. However, there are some stuff I want to talk about right now. I am very happy to see the paladin class getting real love in the upcoming adventure.

This guy here is my new favorite card. The effect of Dragon Consort is just insane. First of all, it is a battlecry effect. Secondly, the effect lasts until you play your next dragon, not just until the end of your turn. This dragon can lead to turn seven Alexstrasza, Ysera, Onyxia. In addition, it combos very well with the new card Chromaggus.

What is more, you can combo Dragon Consort into Volcanic Drake and Hungry Dragon. Volcanic Drake's effect already enables it to become a lower cost minion and Hungry Dragon can become a 2 cost 5/6. That is just too insane!

Discussion about the New Adventure / DRAGONS

Today I want to discuss about the possible archetype, that might be come viable in Hearthstone thanks to the new upcoming adventure. I want to talk about the dragons. I am very happy, that dragons will finally get some love with the Blackrock Mountain adventure. We already had one dragon card announce, which was the Hungry Dragon.

Hungry Dragon himself already seems like a very powerful 4-drop with 5/6 stats. This is very good. I don't think that the 1-cost minion for your opponent would be much of an obstacle. I personally think, that this new dragon will be quite OP.

Let's try to remember the current viable dragons (excl. the Dragon Aspects) in Hearthstone.




As you can notice, I also add Faerie Dragon to the list. When the dragons do get much more support in the new adventure, then I think this little 2-drop will also become much more playable. In my opinion, it is already quite a solid low-cost minion.

Furthermore, I hope they add Nefarian/Blackwing as a new legendary dragon minion into the game. We already have Onyxia and Deathwing, so I see no reason not to add Nefarian too.

I am quite excited to see, what other dragons or support cards they might add in the new adventure. I really do hope, that dragons will become a new type of deck.
